Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The situation continues to evolve and we will be guided by official government advice and instruction. Our customers mean everything to us, and as you would expect, we have offered all our customers every flexibility. All have rescheduled events and weddings, or reserved protected backup dates in 2021. We have therefore now opened up bookings for 2022.  Keep up to date here or contact us if you have any concerns.

We have exciting plans for 2021, even if 2020 is entirely “cancelled”, so rest assured, we will continue investing for the future at Maypole Tipi.

Government advice

The UK Government guidance has recently changed for England only. From 1st June 2020 small outdoor gatherings of up to 6 people from different households are permitted, provided social distancing in maintained between people from different households. This has allowed us to offer small garden party tipis once more. See 1.7 in link to Gov.uk website below.

For the moment, small weddings ceremonies are still not currently permitted except in exceptional circumstances. This remains under review and we await further updates on this in coming weeks. See 1.20 in link to Gov.uk website below.  [Updated 3rd June 2020]

We will build all our tipis whilst maintaining social distancing and we will continue, as always, to clean thoroughly, and allow sufficient time between hires, to further minimise risks of cross contamination. We are also anaphylactic aware.

Government Update

Church of England Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidance

The Church of England have updated there guidance again on 24th March 2020 on how the current COVID-19 outbreak is affecting their ability to conduct a wedding ceremony.

Weddings can no longer take place, which is a further change, as previously they were possible, but with only 5 people in attendance.  This however may change from 1st June 2020.

A Room in your Garden

With many of us working or remaining at home currently, have you considered creating an additional space, using one of our Baby tipis ?

We can create an amazing pop up room for a week or longer. This could be somewhere memorable to celebrate that special anniversary, in place of your original plans, maybe a garden office, or just more space for a while, all within your garden.

We have three Baby Tipis available, one with a wooden floor, and two with matted floor. We can build them, whilst remaining socially isolated from your family, in just a day. An optional indirect heater is also available if required. Please get in touch for more details.

New for 2021 !

Having your wedding ceremony outside can be a truly wonderful experience, but we all know the British weather, even in summer, sometimes can be a challenge.

So for a light and airy outdoor wedding, but with a little protection, we have our new oak cruck frame ceremony structure, to perfectly compliment our tipis, at our venue.

Please ask for more details….
